Mexico. It is darker in color, Larger last whoral, more corrugated
surface, pale band, orange aperture. Some with darker stripes on
last whorl and seems to have a more swollen last whorl. This form
comes from rain forest conditions. The other form is found on corn
plants. Average size is 40mm. Up to 46mm. $20

Anostoma depressum. Average size

Look at these two beautiful Philippine land shells! On the
left is a Ryssota species from Northern Mindoro Island. On
the right is a stunning shell from Samar Island. This little
fellow has a "tail" he wags back and forth! I have no name
for either, I am sorry to say. These photos were sent to me
by a long time friend, Ron Parsons from San Francisco. Ron
is also an expert when it comes to Orchids. He has written
one book on them and is now working on a second. Are you
interested? Go to flowershots.net. There you will find
several hundred color photos of some of the most beautiful
orchids in the world. As well you can buy Rons book there
too. Ron is also an avid land shell collector for many years.
