This is Helicostyla fulgetrum from
Panay Island, Philippines. These are
not the usual form that I have seen for
years. These are very big (69 to almost
80mm). Every single one is different

from Panay Island, Philippines. These all seem to
display their own unusual features unlike others
found throughout the islands.
This is the classic H. ticaonica
(Broderip,1841). Absoulty beautiful.

Here are  two species that I have personally
wanted for years, but could never find. Of all the
places to aquire these was a commerical shell
wholesaler who just happened to have a couple
of dozen each by accident from his supplier in
the islands.
Both species on the rare side of life and hardly
ever offered. If you don't have these, you should!
